permits go on sale every Feb 1 for the remainder of the year. No waiting list, just have to be ready to pay the $395 and have your dates and backup dates picked out by the 1st. Or u can go in the site daily and look for cancelations as well.. lots of openings for random dates

Zebra slot canyon in grand Escalante… awesome spot! Did it a few years ago, it’s a desert hike so not difficult… just have to make sure you have plenty of water. Think it took us around 3.5hrs. Can’t remember exact mileage, but I’m sure a Google search could give you better info than me.
