11/23/23-

This year the inside of the turkey was still frozen when  it was time to cook it. So for 2 hours (10am-12pm) I cooked the turkey in an oven bag at 450 degrees and then the last hour turned it down to 350 and the turkey was cooked through and still turned out delicious.

We ate at 3pm, it was nice b/c Logan and I went and played frisbee and then had enough time to get dinner started at 10am. At 10 am katie started rolls, lily started potatoes, I started the turkey, dad started cutting onions and celery and chloe/luke helped set the table. I borrowed a table from jim lancaster and 5 chairs from Kathy Buswell.

Also I very much enjoyed after thanksgiving. We played this silly easy going game called Happy Salmon, then Spoons, then Dayna recommended the Prize Game Bingo. I found some random prizes- bath bomb, lotion, Meyers soap, glow in the dark toys, little sticky balls for luke and jen brought more fun prizes like oreos, the game operation, connect 4, Surprisingly everyone wanted to play b/c there were prizes involved. It actually turned out so much more fun than I expected.

Dating Divas

1. Sentence game- like telestrations but homemade game. Fold  the paper  (like a burrito not a fan) length wise 11 times. the Beginning line is a sentence you decide to write the next line is for your neighbor to draw the picture of the sentence you wrote and it keeps repeating

2. What If – Someone writes a “what if” scenario, then you pass to the next person. They fold it over and write the “then” statement. You read them in a way that makes it really funny! Supplies: pencils and paper.

3. Reverse Charades – Don’t like the spotlight on you when you are acting? This game is perfect because you act as a group and one person is responsible for guessing the correct answer! Grab some paper slips and have everyone write down a few things to act out. You set the categories and determine how many points you need to win! If your teammate guesses correctly before the timer runs out, you get a point! Your family game night is gong to be FULL of laughter. Supplies: pencils and paper.

4. Fortunately, Unfortunately – A fun, story telling game where players alternately add turn-for-the-worse and turn-for-the-better plot twists to the story. Seeing where these stories go is hilarious! No supplies needed!!
