Disinfect during and after being sick

1.From Angie Christensen 2/26/20 FB Page Simply Divine Healing and Eating-Her Website Simply Divine Eating

Here are a couple extra details for you guys on treating illnesses, including Corona, naturally.
When using herbs, remember frequency is key to success (because of how quickly pathogens reproduce).
Give the herbs at least 3 times a day, and as much as every 2-3 hours if illness is severe.
Also remember that if you can start natural treatments in the first 24 hours of illness, you can usually beat it easily in 24-48 hours. if it sets in deeper, it takes longer to reverse. So get your education and supplies ahead so you are ready to go!

Natural Medicine Mamas- an article
2.if sickness is getting worse use these herbs to help attack it-
-Turmeric
-Yarrow
-Cayenne
-Garlic
-Horseradish
-Red Raspberry
-Skullcap
-St. Johns Wort
-Tea Tree Oil
-Vitamin C (lots of it!)

3.
This is from Michelle Godfrey's friend who is a microbiologist and understand disinfecting from a science brainiac perspective way!!

She uses 70% isopropyl alcohol on all surfaces that are touched, apply it multiple times a day. Be careful on wood or painted surfaces, the alcohol will take off stain and paint.  Use it on handles, light switches, toilets, faucets, refrigerator door handles, etc. If you can find any isopropyl higher than 70%, it is more effective.  but most alcohol sold is 70%

Put the rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and spray down plastic toys and let them air dry. Anything that CAN'T be sprayed down or washed should be quarantined away from kids for at least 10 days.

Things like railings that cant be sprayed and cant be quarantined should just be wiped down with a good cloth with warm soapy water multiple times a day.

Disinfecting Laundry, Cleaning with Oils

LAUNDRY- Luke woke up puking, so I put bath towels on my chest and he laid on me, so I needed to disinfect the towels he puked on. The Great thing is that there are alot of options to kill sick bugs.

The Ideas below are from- How To Clean Stuff, looks like most of these suggestions are added to the beginning hot wash cycle, can add at the end rinse cycle for an extra kick

1.  Bleach
2. 2 t, Tea tree oil is effective in disinfecting
3.  10 drops, Lavender oil is antibacterial and antiseptic, as well as antifungal.
4.  1 t, Thyme oil is a powerful disinfectant known to kill E. coli and MRSA, and is also an antifungal
5.  Lysol Laundry Sanitizer
6. Defense Super Shield Laundry Additive
7. To use white vinegar, add 1 cup of it to the rinse cycle. This is very effective for killing bacteria, and will also help to deodorize laundry
8. hydrogen peroxide, add 1 cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide to the wash.

Brooke Prothero said she has used at the beginning of the wash cycle-

1. Essential oils- deliverance, cinnamon, lavender, orange
2. Dawn dish detergent to degrease to washing machine and oily/sweaty sheets
3. Baking soda to deoderize

SPRAY BOTTLE DISINFECTING- Brooke Prothero

She sometimes adds 10% rubbing alcohol or 10% hydrogen peroxide to 90% water
1. Smaller water bottle- 20 drops of oil
2. Big regular cleaning spray bottle- 50 drops

She uses deliverance, SpiceC, thyme, oregano and/or pine

Green bean and veggie soup

Cooking LSL

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  •  1 small chopped onion
  •  2 cloves garlic chopped
  •  2 medium potatoes diced
  •  1 medium chopped carrot
  •  2 cups diced tomatoes — (fresh or canned)
  •  3 cups green beans — (fresh or frozen, thawed) cut into pieces
  •  5 cups chicken — (or vegetable) stock (can use hot water and chicken base)
  •  1/2 tsp black pepper
  •  1 tsp salt - or more depending on taste
  •  1/4 tsp dry basil
  • avocado

  1. In a large sauce pan, over medium heat saute onions and carrots in olive oil for 3 minutes.
  2. Add chicken stock, potatoes, tomatoes and garlic and bring to a boil. Add salt, pepper and basil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Add green beans and simmer for 15 more minutes, until tender. (I do not like over cooked green beans, that's why I add them 15 minutes after all the other vegetables.).
  4. Cook soup until all vegetables appear cooked through, it usually takes me 30-35 minutes. Cooking time depends on the king of pot used, stove, vegetables amounts of stock used.
  5. Serve hot. You can garnish with chopped parsley or dill.
  6. After cooked, I served the soup with avocado on top. It made everything come together, Delicious
When I was sick I made this and it was quick and easy and perfect for my sore throat

Sickness

Chloe has been sick on and off since halloween, its so draining on me.
Things I've been doing:
1. I've made smoothies with cranberries and other berries and broth soup
2. ofcourse doing oils
      A. oregano in mouth and on feet, This oil is a burning hot oil in your mouth and on your skin except for the bottom of the feet, so be careful. We put one drop of oregano in a 1/4t of olive oil or any other type of ingestible oil and then swallow. Sometimes we follow the swallow with milk or juice or water. When putting it on your feet dilute one drop of oregano with any carrier oil and rub in. But wash hands after b/c oregano oil on your hands is asking for problems, it can get on your face and burn.
     B.  frankincense on feet and in diffuser,
3. Wet socks on feet. When the kids are coughing too much especially when they are trying to sleep. I use a couch cushion to prop them more upright and then do wet socks. I fill the bathroom sink up with warm/hotish water, then put one pair of cotton socks on and put feet in the warm water.  Chloe likes to sit there for 10 or more min b/c she loves warm feet. After feet are wet then take out of water then put on the top of the cotton wet socks dry wool socks and put them to bed. For some reason the wet sock helps contrict the bronchial tubes in the lungs so they don't cough as much. She sleeps so much better and that good sound sleep helps them recover and heal faster.
but she just keeps getting sick.

So I contact my friend shannon pointer and she did some energy testing to help uncover what chloe needed. I think the influx of candy has depressed her immune system and that she's in kindergarten and getting exposed to more sick bugs than ever before.

1.  1 drop 2x's a day           Vitamin D liquid form
2.  1/2 dropper 2x's a day    Immune Strengthener
3.  1/2 capsule                     L-Lysine- This is an amino acid that helps kill viruses. Mix a 1/2 capsule                                               in smoothie or applesauce, yogurt

4. Anti-Bio would be good too

Pink Eye

10/22/18 Here we got again. I was totally off my prevention plan this round.
This time pink eye started with lily. We should have barricaded her to her room to stop the spreading of the sickness, but we didn't. So then 7 days later I got it, 4-5 days after I contracted it then Chloe and dad got it.

3/16/17
The PLAN-
1.  Every 1-2 hours     Drop breastmilk in eyes or colloidal silver
2.  SANITIZE- In a spray bottle, Continually be sanitizing Mix water with equal parts of  rubbing alcohol, or I've heard Onguard essential oil is suppose to be a disinfectant
3. ESSENTIAL OILS- diluted (with olive oil or fractionated coconut oil) oregano or tea tree and put on everyone's feet or ingest it if you can handle it.
4. ROOM- Make them stay in the same room and not leave, thats how the sickness spreads to others when they walk through the house.
5. GLOVES- When I go into their room and give them food, give vitamins, put oil on feet, or put stuff in the eyes- wear any type of plastic protective gloves (whether dish washing kitchen gloves or throw away plastic medical gloves).
6. IMMUNE STRENGTHENER- When sick- grape seed extract 3x's a day or a liquid concoction called Anti-Bio (4-5x's a day when fighting something, one time a day when healthy and in the winter, give body a rest when healthy.  When you feel something coming- sore throat then start up again)
7. VITAMIN D3- one dose in fall/winter every day, when sick 2x's a day

The first 2 days I wan't thinking so clearly and wasn't as proactive.  So I just kept her in the tub, with green smoothies and the laptop with movies playin on a stool by the tub, so she'd stay in the tub. I put epsom salts and lavender in the tub.  I didn't plan this out but, this was the first time with 3 kids that she stayed in from 9/10am-3pm when the other girls came home from school, that was wonderful and amazing for me to get a HUGE break and she was happy too.
After relying on the tub I could tell the pink eye wasn't really improving. So I had to think about this, "What have I done before that worked?"  Time to Use my brain. When Chloe was born in 2011, while we were living in the Falls Apts, Katie got pink eye.  I used oil after oil, diffused it, rubbed it on her feet, put it in the tub, tried to have her drink some diluted but none of that was working.  I was at my limit and feeling exhausted. So after a few days of oils not working, I googled "Natural remedies for pink eye"  I found one mom who swore by using breast milk and putting it in their eyes. Initially super duper weird and it didn't feel quite right but I didn't want to take her to the dr, so I had the tools I needed, lets get to work. So I tried it and there was noticeably improvement.  I think I probably squirted it straight from my breast into her eye every hour the first day and used a tissue to clean up the eye puss.
I think I remember Lily getting it also thereafter. To make it less weird I pumped milk before, so we could put it in her eye.  One time I remembered I had frozen breast milk in the freezer so I warmed it up in hot water and poured it on. But I noticed how it significantly wasn't as powerful as the real stuff.  Freezing the milk must kill some of the punching power.  The pumped milk did work just fine though.
So  currently I am not pregnant and don't have a new baby, but I did ask my 2 neighbors if they could share their milk.  Definitely Weird again, but thankfully a few months previously I relayed my pink eye/breast milk story to them so they knew the power of breast milk. One of them gave me some.
Phew.... I was so grateful to have the milk.  Every 1-2 hours, I put it drop by drop on her eyes like I had with my previous two kids.  The first 3 times it didn't really look like it was helping improve the eyes.  But as I kept it up by the evening she wasn't having any goop come out of her eyes, AMAZING!!!!!  Every time I was putting milk in her eyes, I diluted tea tree around her eyes like a racoon (not close to her eyes) and I massaged diluted tea tree with olive oil on her 2nd and 3rd toes b/c apparently the toes are connected to all areas of your body.  When she went to bed at nite I put a damp rag on her face over her eyes to help calm the gunk get cleared up.  I put a small bowl by her bed so she could dunk it in the bowl to get it wet again.
By the following day, she still had some redness on her eyeballs but there was no goop coming out and she was in such a better temperament and behavior.
The whole time while she was sick I was attempting to sanitize everything she was coming in contact with so none of us got it.  I use a mixture of equal parts of  rubbing alcohol and water in a small spray bottle.  Rubbing alcohol is suppose to kill germs. You could use any disinfectant or other essential oils (that kill germs) diluted with water.  I used multiple different rags every day to keep from spreading the bug. So I was doing lots of rag and towel laundry at the same time, to keep things clean.
I didn't do this but, its a good idea to prevent the spread of sickness to everyone in your family apply at least once or twice a day by either using diluted (with olive oil) oregano or tea tree and put on everyone's feet or ingest it if you can handle it.
