Lowlights on Katie and Mom
Need ----------
10-10-23
"Inspired by nature" Permanent hair dye, Chestnut Brown, 5 N
Gloves
A spatula to wipe the hair dye on the hair
20 Aluminum foil sections
A thin comb (or wooden skewers- they didnt work that well, started splintering, just get a good comb) to separate the hair sections from the natural hair to the lowlight hair sections
First, Katie likes to separate the front hair pieces called "money pieces" and braid (keep them natural color), keep separate from the back section, where the hair dye will go in.

1. He had become Executive Director of the Other side academy. Interesting tidbits about the culture of prison and he discusses his wild actions trying to runaway from the police, The message I gathered in this is the power of being accountable for your own behavior and decisions and to have loving people in your life that will help you face your failures and improve.

Signs of Manipulation-
You can fall in love with any body and in some ways it is like you are on drugs, you arent thinking clearly, reasoning logically, you are infatuated.
Red flags that can indicate some boundaries are being violated in a relationship
1. Does the partner push you to give consent for something you would rather not do physically
2. Do you have to convince yourself to do something physically that you would rather not participate in.
3. do you feel conflicted about certain physical acts in the relationship?
4. Do you feel like you have to do certain physical things in a relationship in order to keep your partner interested
5. Are you afraid that if you dont do something physically in a relationship that your partner will become upset?
6. Do you participate to keep him from becoming angry or emotionally disturbed?
7. Is the level of physical affection in congruent with how both of you feel about each other?
If that answer to any of these questions is yes, even if just a little bit, it can be a sign that the relationship is unhealthy or abusive.

Corn Chowder with Bacon
CORN (CHOOSE ONE)
- 4 ears of corn
- 4 cups / 750g / 1.5 lb frozen or canned corn , drained
SOUP:
- 1 tsp butter (or oil)
- 250g / 8 oz bacon , chopped
- 30g / 2 tbsp butter (use 3 tbsp if bacon is lean)
- 1 garlic clove , minced
- 1 small onion , diced (or half large onion) (yellow, brown or white)
- 5 tbsp flour
- 2 cups chicken broth , low sodium
- 3 cups milk (I use low fat but full fat will work too)
- 600g / 1.2 lb potatoes , cut into 1 cm / 2/5" cubes (about 2 large)
- 2 sprigs of thyme OR 1 tsp dried thyme
- 3/4 cup cream (Note 1)
- 3/4 cup shallots / scallions , green part finely sliced
- Salt and finely ground pepper to taste
- Cut the corn off the cob. This is how I do it: Place a small ramekin in a large bowl. Place corn on the ramekin then cut the corn off. See video. Keep naked cobs.
- Place 1 tsp butter in a large pot over medium high heat. Add bacon and cook until golden. Use a slotted spoon to remove onto a paper towel lined plate. Leave fat in pot.
- Lower heat to medium high. Add 2 tbsp butter, once melted, add garlic and onion. Cook for 2 - 3 minutes until onion is translucent.
- Add flour and mix it in. Cook, stirring, for 1 minute.
- Add broth, milk, potatoes, thyme and bay leaf. Break naked cobs into 2 or 3 and add into the liquid. Put the lid on and simmer for 25 minutes (adjust heat so it's simmering energetically but not bubbling like crazy or super gently).
- Remove lid, remove corn cobs. Add corn and cook for 5 minutes or until cooked to your taste.
- Stir through cream and 3/4 of the bacon and shallots. Adjust salt and pepper to taste. Ladle into bowls and garnish with remaining bacon and shallots.
